Extension Foundations

Building the Base

Reinforced and Damp-proof

The construction sequence as shown in the images here start with excavation; followed by sand and aggregate base foundation with service channels and robust level shuttering then …

The foundation is levelled and compressed before the strong damp proof membrane is carefully put in place and retained. Steel reinforcing mesh is then applied and aligned so the concrete base is underpinned for life long stability.

Mixed cement is carefully poured and tamped across the foundation and all-round the reinforcing steel.

Once the foundation is set we start to build the extension and apply further damp proof courses (DPC) so the finished structure is another dry and stable North Wales building project.
