Students and Lectures visit flood resilient property

As part of their degree course students visit parts of the North Wales coast; this October 2017 visit is the third in an annual series and has enables staff and students to observe coastal erosion and defences work as well as property level resilience measures. Students interview residents in order to better understand the full impact of flooding, living with flood risk and the total impact in the context of climate change.

Kelvin built his home by adopting a variety of flood resilience measures largely based on his years of experience with flood repairs following the Rhyl and Sandy Cove floods of 2013 / 2014 and the St asaph Students discussed how flood risk combines Communities with Contingencies in a process of Change
